Please use this form to apply for absences (and any related funding) on Special Studies Programs (SSP(L)) for periods of between six weeks and six months. Please ensure you have read the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music SSP(L) Guidelines before commencing your application. Of note in the guidelines, applicants must discuss their proposed program of study and this application with their supervisor and Head of Discipline prior to submitting an application. During the application process you will be required to upload a budget document and relevant invitations. You will need to download the budget template from the faculty's Intranet. If you plan to travel, you will also be asked to upload an itinerary.
Using the online platform (Smarty Grants) you can save your application and return to it during the application period. However please note that uploaded documents will not be saved for partial submissions therefore please attach documents when ready to submit your application. Applications will not be accepted or accessible after 11.59pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) (Melbourne/Sydney/Canberra time) on the closing date, 2 October 2025.
