The Kate Flowers Scholarship is available to a Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music Honours student who has completed at least one year of full-time study of classical violin, viola or violoncello at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music or an equivalent institution in Australia or overseas.
If you are shortlisted for this scholarship, you will be required to submit a video audition to the donor family where they will hear a short piece of your own choice (unaccompanied) and also to attend a Zoom interview where you will be asked some questions relating to your musical aspirations. The family particularly wish to support students with specific financial needs relating to instruments, travel, additional classes with prominent teachers etc. The interviews are expected to take place between May and July via Zoom.
